We reach out to each of you, who in your own way are transforming the space around you with the kinesthetics of the Arts to make of the world - a parenthesis in eternity, be it as specialists in cultural studies, art historians, psychologists, sociologists, anthropologists, philosophers, theologists, medics, choreographers, dance teachers, dance therapists, dance film directors and professionals representing all forms of dance from all over the world !
The Performances would truly highlight the significance of ‘dancing into meaningful moments’ !
In fact the World
Congress on Dance Research is the best opportunity for professionals and
amateurs to interact and highlight the cycle of ‘growing as we learn
and learning as we grow’
It is ever so vital to breathe in the culturally diverse
aesthetics, pulsating through the skyline of Mumbai endorsing ‘unity in diversity’ through art,
architecture, cuisine, music and dance. Special tours with discounted tariffs given by tour
operators could be arranged if informed, so as to visit the The
Gateway of India , the CST Museum known as
the Prince of Wales Museum, the Bandra-worli sea-link , etc. on Dec
Besides these there would be visits to the National Centre of Performing Arts, Nehru Centre , the Shanmukhananda hall with a history through six decades , some dance studios that touch up the city with the aesthetics of the Arts!

CID congresses are the largest gatherings of dance specialists world-wide, the best opportunity to showcase one's work to a wide audience of practitioners, dance teachers, choreographers, researchers, journalists, organizers and suppliers.
Approximately 400 conferees from 40 countries of the 5 continents attend each event.
Intended primarily for professionals, the Congress is at the same time an educational event and a trade fair focused on contacts with colleagues and informal discussions.
All forms of dance are represented. Strictly non-profit. Not to be confused with festivals, workshops, competitions or open conferences.
The program includes:
- Lectures on original subjects
- Classes, where teachers give a demonstration of their method
- Performances by dance companies, duos or solos
- Exhibitions and sale of books, records, pictures, costumes, accessories etc.
- Evenings where members can discuss in a relaxed setting or dance to local music.
- Visits to places of special interest, such as dance schools, museums, sites etc.
This is an official event organized by the Dadar Section of the CID. It is under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, the National UNESCO Commission, the Region of Maharashtra and the City of Mumbai.
